We accept essays from 300-3,000 words.

We like essays that entertain. They might be shallow, funny, stimulating, honest or riveting. Confessions are good. So is not taking yourself incredibly seriously. If some politics creep into your writing, that is okay. But you are absolutely under an obligation to make it go down easy. We are tired. We probably already read some heavy stuff somewhere else and just want to take a minute to feel something other than outrage and disgust. Although, disgust is marvelous in the right circumstances. Please don't hesitate to make us sick with your shocking, well written revelations about the human condition. This is a good place to mention that we adore humor. But if you are going to be mean, you better be damn funny.
Simultaneous submissions are accepted. We trust you will let us know immediately if someone beats us to publishing your wonderful work.
We are not able to pay at this time, but please include a short 50 word bio and include a link to your blog or website. We are happy to publish it with your work.
